Return to India

After spending 9 months in 2003-2004, traveling from region to region experiencing the powerful healing effects of Agnihotra, I returned Mary Lee Weir with friends and Mother in Tapovan, Indiato the United States, but, the transformation had begun. The exposure to such incredible circumstances, both positive and negative completely changed my outlook, throwing me into a state of extreme bewilderment by all the happenings on our Planet. I no longer felt a part of the day-to-day and my goals started to change. Still, I made an attempt to re-settle into life in America, which lasted for about 11 months, when in June of 2005 I returned to India.

I was not completely free from my addictions because while in America I commenced smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol, all of which stifled any kind of spiritual development, or discipline I needed to remain totally sober.

The summoning from my spiritual teacher, Shree Vasant, had me on a plane to India for six months, where I stayed, in Rural Maharasthra, at Tapovan Homa Therapy Center. Though I was there to continue the healing process, I was thrust into a most amazing and eye-opening development of women's upliftment, now known as Rose Circles Mission, headed by Anne Godfrey Australian Clothing Designer & Nileema Misra, who has been instrumental in bringing about the empowerment of the down-trodden women in India's rural and slum areas. In hindsight I realized that being at the service of others is the most rewarding way to discover one's inner light and also to heal one's broken spirit.

The situation in India has reached unbelievable levels. At present, in 2009 approximately 10% of the population is traded into sex channels. Farmers are committing suicide in mass, due to non-payment of large loans taken during poorer seasons where there is no harvest. Those farmers that do not take suicide as a route take to trading their wives and daughters as a repayment to the loans. This cycle is a devastating cycle and one small way to give support is to help the women to earn money. If the women can help to bring an income into their family homes then they are useful enough to keep in their family homes.
